Fred Van Vactor

In a world full of cookie cutter pop singers, street corner folk slingers, and American Idol fame seekers, it's rare to have an artist come along sounding so completely fresh and original.  Singer-songwriter Fred Van Vactor writes: catchy pop songs, melancholy love ballads and lyrically clever humorous folk ditties in his current hometown of Portland Oregon.  His live performances are engaging, spontaneous, and captivating.  Rather than sticking to one particular genre or style, he combines many influences, a comedic sense of humor, and a love for the craft of songwriting into an unique musical experience.  His purpose is to connect directly with people through music and performing.  He loves people, traveling, and giving performances anywhere from large outdoor venues, to small clubs, laundromat's, coffee shops, and street corners.  He released his fantastic debut album of songs entitled Everything Good All at Once, recorded in San Diego, Ca. by Christopher Hoffee at Chaos studios and mastered by Gavin Lurssen in Los Angeles. He is consistently busy creating, writing, and performing new material. Look for a new album and tour in 2015.
